The Elden Ring DLC features some of the toughest bosses FromSoftware has ever come up with. While there are some pretty tough challenges, here are our picks for the hardest boss fights in Shadow of the Erdtree.

For this list, we’ve focused primarily on Remembrance Bosses in the DLC, as they’ve proven to be the hardest to defeat. However, we’ve reserved a few spots for honorable dungeon boss mentions, simply because they’ve defeated the majority of players who’ve encountered them.
The Putrescent Knight, tied to the St. Trina questline, is a very agile and aggressive boss that can devastate your HP with just a hit or two. He’s not great on defense though and can be ripped apart with a Spirit Ash Summon. Even without one, his attacks are pretty well telegraphed and he doesn’t have too many, so the learning curve isn’t as steep as some of the others on this list.
While not exactly a difficult challenge on its own, the Scadutre Avatar has a hidden mechanic that many players who fight it likely aren’t aware of. They’d be stuck in an endless, fruitless battle for eternity, trying to take it down and not understanding why it keeps getting back up. Even if they did know, the Avatar still has three health bars, and the war of attrition will decimate a large portion of the player base.
