You can view similar channels in Telegram when you join a new channel on the platform or visit the description screen of an existing channel. The Similar Channels box appears in a recently joined channel at the bottom of the screen. You can also use the Similar Channels tab in an existing channel to view the channels that Telegram has suggested for you.
When Telegram suggests "Similar Channels", Telegram may recommend them based on popularity, interests, topics, similarity in the channels' follower base, and other factors. All suggested channels are public, so you may not see private channels as recommendations.
