In less than half a year, YouTube has already rolled out several major features for both creators and consumers across platforms. Here’s a look at all the new YouTube features and updates released so far in 2024.

‘Jump Ahead’ is YouTube’s latest AI-powered feature that allows users to instantly skip to the most relevant or most-repeated part of the video. Currently rolling out to Premium members with Android devices (in the US), the feature combines user data and AI to determine the ‘best’ parts of the video that most users jump to.
The pill-shaped “Jump Forward” button appears in the bottom-right corner when users double-tap to jump forward.
YouTube has also redesigned the YouTube TV experience to allow for more multitasking capabilities without pausing or closing the video you’re currently watching. This includes access to video descriptions and comments, and the ability to view your creators’ favorite products.
