The latest episode of Abbott Elementary makes way for a new face, as guest star Lana Condor finally shows up for a double date with Gregory (Tyler James Williams).

In the aptly titled episode, "Double Date," Gregory takes Condor's character on a double date with co-worker Jacob (Chris Perfetti) and recurring guest star Karan Soni, reprising his role as Avi. According to the logline, the outing takes a turn when they encounter some familiar bar patrons who prove to be an unfortunate distraction.
For fans of the Gregory-Janine dynamic, the double date will undoubtedly come as a surprise, but does this mean all hope is lost for the duo? We're not entirely convinced, as photos tease their reunion in the hallways of Abbott.
Meanwhile, the episode also makes way for a book club meeting led by Ava (Janelle James), which brings together Barbara (Sheryl Lee Ralph), Melissa (Lisa Ann Walter), Mr. Johnson (William Stanford Davis), and new librarian Rosalyn Inez (recurring guest star Cree Summer). However, the meeting will devolve into a debate as they argue over who would make the best post-apocalyptic leader.
