News that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 could be over 300GB in size spread quickly after the game's exciting reveal yesterday, and the discussion spread even faster.

Activision removed my video because I said Black Ops 6 leaks looked TERRIBLE

An Xbox Store listing for BO6 said the game's "approximate size" was a whopping 309.85GB, which is obviously a lot. And from there, the debate started, with people taking to social media to voice how ridiculous that would be.

The discourse around it became so heated in the course of just one day that Activision had to clarify via its @CODUpdates account that the "approximate size" reference was just that, an approximation, as we reported earlier today.

"The estimated file size currently displayed on the Black Ops 6 pre-order pages does not represent the download size or disk space required for Black Ops 6," Activision said on Twitter/X. "The sizes shown include full installs of Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, Warzone, and all applicable content packs, including all localized languages combined, which is not representative of a typical player installation experience. Players will be able to download Black Ops 6 at launch without downloading other Call of Duty titles or all language packs. Actual Black Ops 6 file size estimates will be available closer to launch."
