If you want a section of your document to stand out, you can use a heading. This is useful for screen readers, scanning your document, or adding a table of contents. Here's how to create a heading in Word and easily change its formatting.

There are two default sizes of Word's built-in heading styles; one is 16 point and the other is 13 point. This allows you to use different heading levels for subsections if you want.

In addition, each heading uses the Calibri Light font and is colored blue. However, you can change these settings, as we will explain in the next section.
