Maybe you want to make a poster, a party invitation, or whatever, but you don’t want to learn a complicated app like Photoshop to do it. That’s where Adobe’s new Creative Cloud Express (CCE) app comes in.

I have made the same design in every program ever

CCE is Adobe’s answer to the growing category of single-serve design apps. These low-cost, often free, apps make it easy to create party invitations, flyers, posters, and other visual materials. They give you templates so you don’t have to start with a blank canvas, and offer a stripped-down feature set so you can get to what you need to do quickly. Creative Cloud Express is just that, only made by Adobe.

“With Creative Cloud Express, Adobe is trying to appeal to people who create exclusively on their mobile phones. People who shoot videos and then quickly edit them without ever leaving their phone’s interface. Perfect for TikTok creators, it offers quick editing and other tools while you’re on the go,” video producer Daniel Hess told Lifewire via email.

Because it comes from Adobe, CCE can tap into its vast design ecosystem. For example, you can browse free Adobe stock images and fonts, and you can use effects forged in the exacting fires of professional apps like Photoshop and Illustrator. You can even remove the background of a photo on the fly and then overlay the subject on top of the rest of your design.
