'All Clear': Marcos Shares Update on 17 Filipinos Held Hostage in Yemen

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said the 17 Filipinos currently held hostage by the Houthi group are all safe from the recent Israeli attack on the Yemeni port city of Hodeidah.

PH govt ensures safety of 17 Filipino sailors held hostage by Houthi rebels –PBBM

“I am pleased to inform the nation that none of our 17 sailors currently in the custody of the Houthis were affected by the recent Israeli attack on the port of Hodeidah, Yemen,” Marcos said in a statement Saturday night.

“Our embassy in Riyadh reports that they are all safe,” he added.

Marcos assured the families of the seafarers that the Philippine government “has not abandoned them and we are doing everything we can to ensure their safe return home.”
