Silent Hill 2 is finally getting a remake after decades of being stuck on the PlayStation 2 and emulation. But what platforms is it coming to? We explain.

How to Play Silent Hill 2 Remake EARLY NOW

Silent Hill 2 Remake will be available on PlayStation 5 and Steam. At this time, these are the only two platforms that have been confirmed by Konami. The game is scheduled for release on October 8th and will feature the original story with updated graphics and gameplay. Pre-orders are already open. Players will be able to relive some of the most iconic moments in horror gaming history, and I hope Konami does the original justice by maintaining the atmosphere and feel.

No, Silent Hill 2 Remake will not be available on Xbox. Konami has not said at all that Silent Hill 2 Remake will be released on Microsoft consoles. They are a Japanese company and primarily showcase their games on Sony’s State of Play, which is an example of their strong partnership. That said, Konami did release a remastered version of the original Silent Hill 2 on Xbox 360 back in 2012, so they may well bring the remake to modern Xbox consoles at some point. It would be a shame to exclude such a large portion of the console gaming audience from one of the greatest horror stories ever told.
