The Drive-By Shooting is a unique event after 5000M in A Dusty Trip. In it, you’ll find a group of fully armed NPCs driving around in a van and shooting at you. If they hit you, you’ll be killed instantly and lose all your progress. So, how do you counter them? You can quickly spot the mob by the V8 engine of their vehicle, which makes an intense sound from miles away. Use this sound cue to stay in a nearby building. But if you can’t find one, stay in the car and drive in the opposite direction. You’ll still take some damage as the bullets pierce through your windows.

Heat waves are random. When they appear, they cause your screen to turn red, wobble, and have a mirage-like effect, causing your players to sweat profusely. While they don’t drain your health, your hunger will decrease twice as fast, and you can only overcome this by eating more than normal. By consistently keeping a lot of food in the trunk, you’ll always be prepared for any heat waves that come your way.
