As pointed out by a player on Reddit, Riot Games nailed it with Gekko, despite not meeting expectations with multiple agent designs. Interestingly, they believe that Riot managed to “allow for more things than expected” with Gekko’s kit. To make the comparison clearer, they’ve individually broken down the benefits of his abilities:
Not only the initiators, the community believes that no other VALORANT agent offers this much flexibility. If you look at his kit as a whole and the way he functions, he is definitely the most thoughtfully designed character, if not the best designed character.
