Amazon's Fire TV, also known as Fire Stick, is a line of devices from Amazon that physically connect to your television and use your home network to stream digital audio and video directly to you from media providers like HBO and Netflix.

Amazon sells several devices under the Fire TV name: Fire Stick, Fire TV, and Fire TV Cube. The Fire Stick is a small device that plugs into your TV and out of your TV’s HDMI port. The Fire TV and Fire TV Cube are small boxes that plug into an HDMI port on your TV; they also often hang on the back of your TV.

Once the devices are paired to your TV, navigate to the show or movie content you want to watch using the Amazon Fire user interface. Once selected, the device will access your chosen content over the internet and play it on your TV.

Some Amazon Fire content is available for free. Apps give you access to premium content on YouTube Red; subscription cable channels like Showtime, Starz, and HBO; and cable alternatives like Hulu, Sling TV, Netflix, and Fandango at Home on Amazon Fire TV; and more.
