Apple is no stranger to creating minimalist devices, but the 21.5-inch 4K iMac takes it to a whole new level with a display that pops and a design that looks stylish no matter the setting. As beautiful as it looks on the outside, under the hood you’ve also got a solid setup with a 3.4GHz 7th-generation quad-core Intel Core i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 1TB Fusion Drive. Apple has managed to pack quite a bit of power into this slender frame, and we put it to the test to see how it performs for both multimedia and productivity purposes.

It should come as no surprise that the Apple iMac 21.5-inch 4K is a beautiful machine from top to bottom. Even before you turn it on, the computer’s design is a striking, aluminum-clad enclosure that’s still understated enough to fit into almost any office or home environment.

The tapered design makes the bezels nearly nonexistent, while the more expansive rear end rounds off the whole thing in a proportional manner. At its thinnest point—the bezels—the iMac measures just 0.2 inches. With its integrated stand in place, the iMac measures 17.7 inches high, 20.8 inches wide, and 6.9 inches deep. Amazingly, it all weighs just 12.5 pounds, not including the keyboard and mouse.
