A Chinese source suggests that the new Pro models will support 40W wired fast charging and 20W MagSafe wireless charging, marking a significant improvement over their predecessors.

This upgrade represents a nearly 50% increase in wired charging speed and a 33% increase in wireless charging capacity compared to the current iPhone 15 Pro lineup, which delivers up to 27W for wired charging and 15W for MagSafe wireless charging.

The rumored charging improvements are reportedly aimed at balancing the expected increase in battery capacity in the new models. Apple is said to be making these changes to "compensate for the upcoming increase in battery capacity" while maintaining or even improving overall charging times.

These rumors line up with previous speculation that the iPhone 16 lineup would use stacked battery technology, potentially resulting in a higher capacity and longer battery life.
