The official synopsis for the docuseries, which is currently available to stream on Hulu, reads: "We explore the ongoing search for answers in the case of Melissa Witt and follow new investigators as they sift through extensive evidence and uncover new information in the decades-long search for her killer."

ABC News reported that Melissa Witt was trying to visit her mother, who was playing in a bowling league at Bowling World. Although she left in frustration, her mother left a note saying how much she loved her. After this, Witt made it to the Bowling World parking lot to meet her mother. However, someone abducted her from the location.
