Neil Newbon, the voice behind the beloved vampire Astarion in Baldur's Gate 3, is eager to get another chance at the character. After the game's massive success and Newbon's excellent performance, he's not ready to say goodbye to Astarion just yet.

Newbon revealed his immense enthusiasm for reprising his role in a recent interview with BAFTA this week, admitting that he would love to bring Astarion back "in whatever form" – whether it's a new video game or even a live-action project. "To be honest, I would love to play Astarion again, in some way," he suggested. "I would love that. That would be great. Live-action or video game, I don't care. Grape juice adverts, I don't know, whatever."

While Larian Studios, the team behind Baldur's Gate 3, has made it clear that it won't be revisiting the Dungeons & Dragons license for expansions or sequels, the possibility of Astarion's return isn't entirely out of the question. Fans may have to wait a little longer, but there is a glimmer of hope. Hasbro, the license holder, is actively seeking partners for a potential Baldur's Gate 4, so Astarion's return could be on the horizon. Any sequel could easily mean that fans will see Astarion again, even if it isn't in a story told by Larian.

Newbon’s deep connection to Astarion extends beyond the role, he continued. The star revealed that his portrayal of the character was influenced by three friends, making the role particularly meaningful to him. This personal touch is part of what made his performance so memorable and why he’s so eager to step into Astarion’s shoes again.
