BLUE LOCK THE MOVIE -EPISODE NAGI- English Dubbed Cast Interview

"'That's a hassle.' That was the favorite line of second-year high school student Nagi Seishiro as he lived his boring life. Until Mikage Reo, a classmate who dreamed of winning the World Cup, discovered Nagi's hidden ability, inspiring him to take up soccer and share his extraordinary talent," the Blue Lock movie synopsis reads. "One day, he receives an invitation to the mysterious BLUE LOCK Project. What awaits him there is a meeting with the best strikers gathered from all over the country. Nagi's dream of becoming the best, together with Reo, will take this prodigy to a world he has never known."

Tyler Treese: Bryson, I love Nagi's characterization in the beginning. He's like, "I want to do nothing my whole life," "Working hard sucks," "Life is the ultimate hassle." He's really my spirit animal. We get a lot of the beginning of the character, because half of the movie is a prequel. What do you like most about the beginning of the character?

Bryson Baugus: What I like about him, and one of the challenges with Nagi, is that he has that kind of detachment. I just float through life. I don't really want to try too hard, I just want to play my games and do what I love. What I like about that is that it just comes across as laid back. He doesn't let the world distract him. He's just like, yeah, I'm just doing my thing, and I like playing video games. I love my pet cactus.
