Senator Christopher “Bong” Go on Wednesday (August 7) dismissed the latest plunder charges against him and former President Rodrigo Duterte by former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV as nothing more than black propaganda.

"This issue has been rehashed and recycled for clear political purposes. This is a clear case of destructive politics and a clear sign of desperation to smear me and the former president. Nevertheless, I welcome these steps to finally put an end to these lies," he stated.
Go issued the statement in response to the complaint of plunder filed by Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Wednesday with the Department of Justice (DOJ) regarding the P16-billion Frigate Acquisition Project (FAP) of the Philippine Navy (PN) signed with Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in 2016.
“Well, another repeated accusation na paulit-ulit na lang ibinabato. Halatang nais lang kaming pinturahan ng itim para siya ay pumuti! The traditional Trillanes – another black propaganda! Palibhasa panahon na man kasi ng eleksyon kaya kailangan na man niyang magpasikat at kumita,” Go said.
