Borderlands Movie (2024) | FULL END SCENE | Lilith and The Vault Ending Explained & Spoilers

The big twist of Borderlands was that Lilith was the real daughter of Eridia. She didn’t magically become the key to the vault or an incarnation of the Firehawk goddess, but was inherently that person from birth, with Eridian blood.

Until the third act, Borderlands believed Tiny Tina was the foretold daughter. Atlas cloned her with Eridian blood, believing she was the special key to unlocking the vault’s power. But the film played a game of bait with its audience.

Lilith assumed that her mother had sent her away and died while pursuing the vault and the keys to open it. However, her mother had discovered Lilith's specialty and sent her with Tannis to protect her secret from Atlas and other Vault hunters. In this way, Lilith grew up and developed fighting skills in her quest to survive. However, when she eventually returned to Pandora, her inherent abilities slowly began to activate.
