Camille Villar, Vice President and Representative of Las Piñas, advised graduates of Northern Iloilo State University to view failure as a motivator that can spur personal growth and success in life.

In her keynote address, Villar urged the graduates not to let the fear of failure hinder their ability to grow, learn and improve. She encouraged them to embrace failure as a normal part of life and see it as an opportunity to grow.

"Do not be afraid of mistakes, because victory is always sweeter when it is achieved under difficult circumstances. Do not give up because you have fallen, because redemption is always more satisfying after a blunder. These are the values I hope you carry with you as you face the world around you," Villar said during the graduation ceremony on June 21.

Villar also told the graduates not to view corrections from teachers or reprimands from parents as punishment, because "they just give you a push in the right direction."
