Christopher Joye: How investors can prepare for a second 'humiliating' RBA rate hike cycle

Chris Compendio has been writing about technology, media, and entertainment since high school. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon in 2016, Chris began formally writing for professional publications, eventually rising to staff writer and editor. Chris’s early days in media began with an editorial internship at Paste Magazine, where he covered popular culture and technology. As a staff writer for DualShockers, Chris attended technology and gaming industry events like PAX East and E3, wrote technical guides, and published software reviews. As a freelancer, Chris has written articles for mainstream publications including The Philadelphia Inquirer, Polygon, and ScreenRant. Chris is also a freelance writer and editor for Stacker, where they write data-driven lists about media and consumer technology. These articles are syndicated to MSN and numerous local news websites. From 2020 to 2023, Chris wrote and edited numerous gameplay guides and game reviews for Gamepur, and from 2021 to 2023 he served as Managing Editor. In that leadership position, Chris oversaw a daily management of approximately 30 freelance writers and 10 full-time writers. Chris is currently a local news reporter for the website PhillyVoice.

My main work setup consists of a 2017 MacBook Pro, an iPad Pro, and a pre-owned iPhone 13 Pro Max. I built a 2023 gaming PC with a GeForce RTX 3070, an Intel Core i7 CPU, and Windows 11. My apartment’s entertainment system consists of a Google TV with Chromecast, a Nintendo Switch OLED, a Sony PlayStation 5, a Microsoft Xbox Series X, and a Wii U. I also have an Amazon Kindle, a Google Nest Mini, and a Nintendo 2DS XL. My parents’ house in the suburbs has a Vizio Smartcast TV with Chromecast built-in, two Philips Hue light bulbs, a PlayStation 3, and a homemade Wii. That house also uses a Ring doorbell, a Nest Protect on every floor, three Google WiFi routers, a TCL 4K Roku television, an Amazon Echo Dot, and various Google TV and Apple TV devices.

Chris graduated from the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University in 2016, where he studied dual information systems and creative writing.
