Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco led the distribution of the relief package to the Davao region guides, recognizing their crucial role in boosting tourism growth.
“Our guides and those who work to improve their skills through continuous training are vital to the success of Philippine tourism. In recognition of their crucial role in revitalizing the industry, we distributed Filipino Brand of Excellence kits to trainers and Tour Guide kits to members of the GUIDE Davao and DASIG Turismo associations, and provided free accident insurance worth Php 50,000 each,” she said in an Instagram post.
The travel guide sets are packed with essential items such as sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a lapel microphone, a journal, a pen and a cup.
