In a recent interview, producer Akiva Goldsman revealed that he is currently working on a script for Constantine 2.

Speaking with Collider, Goldsman shared updates on the progress of the Constantine sequel. "It's going great," he said. "I'm writing a Constantine 2 script. It's good. I hope to have a script for my partners soon."

The filmmaker also shed light on the possibility of the second installment getting an R rating. Akiva Goldsman referenced Keanu Reeves' interview with Stephen Colbert and recalled the difficulties they faced when they got an R rating for their film. He said, "We thought the movie we were making was PG-13, but then it was rated R because of demons. So everyone was like, 'Gosh, if it was R, we might have delved a little deeper into some of the things we were working with.'"
