HomeGamesCycle vs Legacy: What's the Difference? (Last Epoch)

When you start a new character in Last Epoch, you can choose between Cycle or Legacy. Your character will largely be stuck with whichever you choose, so you'll want to make sure you understand the differences before making your choice.

Last Epoch Cycle vs Legacy? What's Best for You? Differences?

Cycle and Legacy in the isometric ARPG Last Epoch are similar to Leagues and Standard in Path of Exile. Cycles are temporary seasons of play, while Legacy continues forever into the future.

Cycles in Last Epoch will last three or four months before all characters in that Cycle are ported over to Legacy. Cycles will also have leaderboards, which will not be included in Legacy. Unlike Path of Exile, it looks like Cycles will be nearly identical in world to Legacy, with the exception of Cycle themes or special items that are exclusive to the Cycle. Cycles are great for new players to avoid being overwhelmed by long-time players in Legacy.
