Magpie's Daisy Ridley, Matilda Lutz, Director and Producers Talk Psychological Thriller [SXSW]
Shout! Studios has acquired North American distribution rights to the film “Magpie,” starring Daisy Ridley.
After what Shout! calls a "competitive bidding situation," the acquisition by Werewolf Films, 55 Films and Align follows shortly after the Cannes Film Market.
"'Magpie' is a stylish neo-noir thriller centered on married couple Anette (Ridley) and Ben (Shazad Latif), whose lives begin to unravel when their daughter is cast alongside a glamorous movie star, Alicia (Matilda Lutz). As Anette's suspicions grow about Ben's crush on Alicia, their secrets and lies threaten to burst to the surface and destroy them all," the logline reads.
