Dead and Stuck Pixels: Causes and How to Fix Them
Your computer screen or monitor is made up of millions of carefully programmed tiny lights called pixels that create the images you see. Within the pixels are sub-pixels that emit RGB (red, green, and blue) colors, which when lit together emit a pure white light, while other colors are emitted by changing the levels of each of the three colors.
A stuck pixel occurs when one of these sub-pixels gets stuck on one color – red, green, or blue – and appears as a persistent, bright dot on your monitor
Stuck pixels are different from dead pixels, which always remain black regardless of the image on your monitor because no light reaches such pixels. They are also quite difficult to fix and sometimes require replacing the monitor.
