The multiverse adventure Deadpool & Wolverine brought the highly anticipated pairing of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman to the screen for the first time. The film with the biggest R-rated opening ever, which grossed $444.1 million worldwide in its first weekend, has now grossed nearly $1.029 billion worldwide at the box office after its third weekend.

It took just 19 days to enter the esteemed Billion Dollar club, becoming the fourth-fastest film to achieve the feat. It will surpass all expectations in 2024 and is also only the second film to reach the milestone this year after Disney’s Inside Out 2. Additionally, the film has taken the second spot among the highest-grossing R-rated films, surpassing Christopher Nolan's Oscar-winning saga Oppenheimer (2023), which grossed approximately $975 million. After just three weekends, it is on track to become the biggest R-rated film of all time.
