The latest MCU hit, Deadpool & Wolverine, has been wowing fans with its engaging humor and cleverly planned cameos. Many unexpected actors and characters appeared in the film, including Henry Cavill as a Wolverine variant and Chris Evans as Johnny Storm. One of the cameos that caught everyone’s attention was that of Blade, played by Wesley Snipes. However, his appearance in the film starring Ryan Reynolds was initially an unlikely event, as the veteran actor revealed.

In a recent interview, Wesley Snipes indicated that he was skeptical about his chances of reprising his role as Blade on the big screen.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Snipes stated that it all “started with a text message from Ryan Reynolds.” He also explained that he had doubts whether the plan would work, but that he was willing to take on the challenge if it did.

Wesley Snipes provided more insight into his Blade cameo, continuing, "I didn't think it was possible. I didn't think he could pull it off. I didn't think Marvel was interested. Disney was interested. And also because they had, you know, cast Mahershala in the next version of it. So it didn't make sense to me."
