Destiny 2 is doubling down on Master Rahool as the sole owner of Exotics with a revamp of his seller page in The Final Shape. On June 4, he’ll not only gain a Reputation Track, but he’ll also become the exclusive home of every newly released Exotic armor piece.

FASTEST WAY to get NEW FINAL SHAPE Exotic Armors! (Destiny 2)

Players will no longer be subject to Legend and Master Lost Sector drop rates in order to get their hands on the latest Exotic gear. Instead, after resetting your rank with Rahool, you’ll gain access to a new tier of focused Exotic gear. According to the This Week in Destiny blog posted today, this new focused tier will allow you to purchase any piece of Exotic armor for one Exotic Engram and an Exotic Cipher. There are also no weekly limits for this focused option; the only limit is your available funds.

This isn't to say that Exotic drops from Lost Sectors are going away entirely in The Final Shape. As Bungie explains, Lost Sectors will retain the same drop rates as before, but will instead reward a regular Exotic Engram instead of specific armor like they did in the past. The developer also confirmed that Destiny 2's newest location, Neomuna, will continue to drop Exotic armor from Vex Strike Force completions, but stated that the encounter would no longer receive new armor for its drop list after Season of the Wish.

Still, while the removal of RNG is nice, the convenience comes at the cost of some of the excitement of the previous system. Hitting the buy button in Rahool’s storefront won’t quite bring the same excitement as a lucky loot drop. At the very least, it means that veteran Destiny 2 players with a large inventory of Exotic currencies stashed away will have easy access to most of the new Exotic armor pieces the moment they come out.
