The Salvation's Edge raid was the longest raid in Destiny 2 history, but it also revealed that one class was a "dead weight" throughout the raid.

In a Reddit thread on June 10, a Destiny 2 player pointed out that Salvation's Edge proved that Titans needed a buff to have the same impact while still retaining their class identity of punching things. "If Titans are going to be the melee class, don't water down their melee abilities. Titans can no longer spam shoulder melees as a mobility tool, they don't synergize well with glaives, and every melee-focused exotic has been watered down to the ground," they wrote.

At the same time, Titans have almost no ranged options, aside from Thundercrash (if you can even call it ranged) and the new Twilight Arsenal Supers. "When was the last time Thundercrash got a buff and not some other useless nerf? Honestly I don't mind Celestial Hunters, but why can't we have what they have?" the OP added. They also mentioned that Titans' defensive abilities, like the Ward of Dawn, have been "weakened to the ground."

While players admit that the new Void Twilight Arsenal Super and increased damage resistance for Thunderclap aren’t bad, there should have been more of that where those came from. Instead, we saw many popular Titan playstyles that require up-close and personal combat get toned down, including multiple melee abilities and Exotics.
