In a post on Xbox Wire, the team says it wants to deepen the gaming experience with ultra-high-quality visuals alongside the immersive spatial audio of Dolby Atmos. The feature has been in testing since May.

Dolby Vision is a set of technologies that enables high dynamic range (HDR) video. It actively adjusts how color, contrast, and brightness are displayed on the screen for the best possible picture.

The format is also compatible with the consoles' next-gen features, such as Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and can even output up to 120 FPS (but this is TV dependent).
