Crossover characters are a staple of most fighting games these days, combining two worlds into one for the ultimate matchups. But for Riot Games' upcoming fighter 2XKO, that might not be an option, at least not at launch.

2XKO goes WILD!

2XKO is the League of Legends fighting game coming out in some form in 2025. The roster is built around the League IP, but since Riot also owns games like VALORANT, some members of the community were hoping for a crossover between worlds. During Evo 2024, Dot Esports caught up with 2XKO game director Shaun Rivera to ask a series of questions about these wishes to see if there were any plans in the mix, but the response we received was a little underwhelming.

“We get a lot of questions like, ‘Hey, are you going to use characters from other IPs? Are you going to use Val agents? Are you going to create a new champion?’ The honest answer is we’re not thinking about that right now,” Rivera told Dot Esports.
