After the invitations, the remaining slots were divided among each major region: Western Europe, Eastern Europe, China, North America, South America, and Southeast Asia. Like Shopify, Azure Ray couldn’t win against the young boys, losing both chances to qualify for TI to Team Zero and G2 x iG. G2’s Chinese Dota team has made many LAN appearances this year, while Xtreme Gaming’s second-tier team, Team Zero, has yet to compete in a major tournament outside of China.
