Dune: Prophecy | Official Teaser 2 – Control | Max
UPDATED, 8 AM: "The more influence our sisterhood gains, the more enemies we make." Max has released the latest trailer for his Dune prequel series Dune: Prophecy, which takes us back 10,000 years to the ascension of Paul Atreides and the founding of the Bene Gesserit. The one-minute clip gives us a hint of what's to come, ending with the ominous "Sacrifices must be made." You can watch it above, and check out the series details and first teaser below.
PREVIOUS, May 15: Five years after Max (then HBO Max) ordered a Dune prequel series, the streamer has shared the first teaser for the show, titled Dune: Prophecy. The series is scheduled to premiere this fall and will consist of six episodes, which is on the low end for an original scripted series. The teaser was revealed during Wednesday’s Warner Bros. Discovery upfront presentation by Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO, HBO and Max Content.
From the expansive Dune universe created by author Frank Herbert and set 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, Dune: Prophecy (formerly Dune: The Sisterhood) is inspired by the novel Sisterhood Of Dune, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. It follows two Harkonnen sisters as they battle forces that threaten the future of humanity and found the legendary cult that will come to be known as the Bene Gesserit.
