In the second competition of the 2024 League season, Riot will once again implement the option for Master-level players to join duo queue, the developers announced today.

Riot removed the duo queue functionality for Master players in 2021, but is bringing it back in Split Two to encourage collaboration between high-ranking players and content creators. One of the most community-engaged activities promoted through streaming and content creators is watching two high-ranking players queue together, and Riot wants to bring that element back in some capacity in the next Split.

“We want to support those who play Ranked League as a social competitive experience,” Riot said in today's dev update.
