Entravision alumnus will also serve as executive VP of Allen Media Group

Entravision Communications alumnus Christopher T. Young has joined The Weather Channel as chief financial officer. He will also serve as executive vice president of the cabler's parent company, Allen Media Group.

Young will be based at Weather Channel's Atlanta and in Los Angeles, where Allen Media Group is based. He will report to CEO Byron Allen and Christopher Malone, who is CFO and executive VP of Allen Media Group.

“Chris brings extensive financial and operational experience in the media industry spanning more than three decades. His strong expertise and experienced background in capital markets are valuable assets,” said Allen, founder and chairman of Allen Media Group. “Chris adds significant depth to our executive leadership team and will be a critical asset to our company as we continue to grow rapidly and execute on a number of long-term strategic initiatives.”
