Facebook has announced a number of new features for Groups that the company says will strengthen group culture.

The social network announced the upcoming updates to Groups during the Facebook Communities Summit on Thursday. The new features are primarily aimed at group admins, but Groups members will notice the differences, too.
New features include customizable colors, backgrounds and fonts, community awards that members can give to each other, community fundraisers where members work together to raise money for a good cause, community chats in Messenger, recurring events and more.
Facebook also announced a new test that would be rolling out to create subgroups within the main group. This feature would allow admins to form smaller groups within a group for specific topics or members from a certain region.
