In the previous League of Legends Patch 14.14, a new champion Aurora was added. She did well after her launch, but Riot Games still weakened her. Now she is… better than ever.

At the time of writing, Aurora dominates the top and mid lane of League's solo queue. In a Reddit thread on August 1, players discussed Aurora's current state, with some believing that she's too strong for the current meta despite Patch 14.15 nerfs and others suggesting that Riot is prioritizing "fun over fair" with Aurora's latest tweaks.
"I thought she was really strong in the previous patch, but even with the nerfs in this patch she's clearly gone over the line, maybe even almost hotfix nerf-worthy," the author of the thread on Reddit wrote. Others in the comments agreed, stating that certain champions are destroyed by Aurora if picked against her.
"Melees can't actually play the game against her, it's really fucked up, she's so annoying to play against, especially as a champion without cc, she's impossible to catch and kill without teammates," reads another top comment.
