007 legend George Lazenby announces retirement from acting
Australian actor George Lazenby, best known for his role as James Bond in the 1969 film On Her Majesty's Secret Service, has announced his retirement.
Lazenby said in a statement on social media this morning that he plans to end his acting career for good.
"This was not an easy decision to make, but it is time to announce my retirement. As a result, effective today, I will no longer be acting or making public appearances, doing interviews or signing autographs," Lazenby wrote in his first of a series of retirement messages.
