After mysteriously appearing in the trailer for Captain America: Brave New World, Giancarlo Esposito revealed who he will play in the upcoming film.

During the Marvel Studios panel in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, Esposito revealed what has been widely rumored: he will be none other than Sidewinder, the infamous villain and leader of the Serpent Society.

In the Marvel Comics world, Sidewinder — real name Seth Voelker — has teleportation powers and is the founder of the criminal organization known as the Serpent Society. The group often features characters like Anaconda, Asp, Bushmaster and more in its ranks, and often clashes with Captain America in the comics.
