Senator Risa Hontiveros lauded President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s decision to ban offshore gaming activities in the country, calling it a victory for the nation.

According to Hontiveros, the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) have brought “countless and unspeakable social problems” to the country.
“POGOS ARE EFFECTIVELY BANNED TODAY! TAGUMPAY FOR ATING LAHAT! TAGUMPAY FOR PILIPINAS! ✊🏼🇵🇭,” she said in an Instagram post.
“I commend the president for his decisive statement,” she said.
