There are several new features and updates coming to Google Maps, with Google further integrating AI into its tools to improve Live View, make immersive view a reality, and more. You could be checking out some of them today, provided you live in one of the chosen initial rollout locations.
Using Google’s AI to create a rich, immersive view of a given location, Immersive View combines aerial and Street View imagery to create a fully realized digital model. It lets you pan and zoom around a location in simulated 3D, as you might expect, but it also features a time slider that can be used to figure out weather, crowds, and more.
You can also go down to street level to get a first impression of the area or take a virtual look at some of the shops and restaurants.
