Google Pixel Gemini AI Event: Everything Revealed in 8 Minutes

As noted in the blog post, Google promises that the many upgrades across its ecosystem will be rolling out now and over the “next few weeks.”

Gemini Nano, Google’s on-device mobile AI, is coming to Pixel 8 and Pixel 8a devices, bringing summaries for Recorder and new Voice Transcription capabilities to the handsets. The company is also adding external monitor support over USB-C, offline Find My Device capabilities, AI-powered face detection and optimization in photos (plus a way to choose specific lenses when taking a photo), and a new way to look up unknown phone numbers.

The Pixel Watch is also getting some serious upgrades: Auto crash detection is now available on the Pixel Watch 2. PayPal is also joining Google Wallet as a payment source, and Google Home is getting some updates as well. You can now access Google Home favorites on your watch, and control smart home devices right from your wrist.
