The release of Gothic over two decades ago kicked off a new franchise that spawned several sequels and sequels, but there hasn't been a new installment since 2006's Gothic 3. While that doesn't change, the THQ Nordic Showcase on August 2 detailed how the franchise is returning to its roots in the remake.
Gothic Remake was announced four years ago and is rapidly approaching its release. While we don’t have a release date yet, fans got an exciting look at Gothic Remake today during the THQ Nordic Showcase.
The footage showed off Gothic Remake's combat and environments, and also gave a sneak peek at some new additions that weren't in the first game, like rock climbing. There are sure to be more surprises in store.
