In another episode of Riot Games selling ridiculously overpriced cosmetics and sparking community-wide protests, VALORANT's latest RGX 3.0 skin bundle has players enraged thanks to its outrageous price tag.

After the third version of the iconic RGX 11z Pro collection launched on July 18, several players took no opportunity to advise the fandom not to hit the buy button. And it had nothing to do with the quality of the skins.

In addition to the obligatory player card, gun buddy, and spray, the latest RGX iteration in VALORANT brings three weapon skins, including gun skins for the Outlaw and Sheriff, and a Karambit melee. Despite only containing three items, the bundle costs a whopping 6,700 VP, which translates to around $65 in real world money. That’s not cheap, but what has the community baffled is Riot’s clever monetization strategy.

"Welcome to the days where Riot Games just does whatever they want because they know people will spend money on it, and they price it so high because they know it will sell en masse. They probably wanted it higher but decided to settle for 6700," one player commented under a popular Reddit post, summing up the situation. Another player emphasized the sad truth: "I saw three people in the game with everything an hour after it came out. What a greedy scam."
