Comic-Con 2024: Robert Downey Jr. Makes Surprise Return to MCU as Doctor Doom
The Academy Award winner responded to the Russo Brothers' shocking news that Downey Jr. will return to the MCU in 2026's Avengers: Doomsday as Victor Von Doom, nearly seven years after his stint as Iron Man ended in Avengers: Endgame.
“I don't get it, are you a villain now?” Paltrow responded to the actor's Instagram post announcing his new role.
She first played the role of Tony Stark's assistant, fellow superhero and love interest Pepper Potts in 2008's Iron Man. She has appeared alongside Downey Jr. in the trilogy and several other MCU titles.
