HBO Max, brought to you by AT&T’s WarnerMedia Entertainment, brings a touch of nostalgia with shows like FRIENDS and Gossip Girl, along with a slew of new shows and its own ‘Max Originals’ to ensure there’s something for everyone. But as users dive into this new mountain of entertainment, how do you know which shows you’ve watched and which ones still need a good binge?

HBO Max: Everything You Need to Know

To the relief of many streaming mavens, HBO Max is bringing a way to identify which shows you’ve watched and which ones are pending. While we love Amazon Prime, a number of users have noted that there’s no indication on the titles as to whether a user has watched the series or not.

This is especially annoying if you are following multiple shows at the same time. How do you know if you have started the show or not?

Fortunately, HBO has thought ahead in this case and introduced a purple line as an indicator. The line appears at the bottom of the content you are currently watching or have already watched. For content you have partially watched, the line indicates the point at which the video was stopped.
