One of the most effective ways to take out a group of enemies in Helldivers 2 is to use a Grenade Launcher. Since your automatic weapons can become depleted after being chased by multiple enemies, using something a little more destructive can help you immensely. The catch is, however, that the Grenade Launcher isn’t available by default. You’ll need to unlock it through the Stratagems menu before you can make it available for use.

To unlock Grenade Launcher in Helldivers 2, you first need to reach level 5. After that, the Grenade Launcher will be available in the Stratagems Menu for 6000 Requisitions. If you don't have enough money, I recommend doing Secondary Objectives in every mission you start. Doing optional tasks is the best way to farm Requisitions and XP.
Once you reach level 5 and have 6k Requisitions, go to the Ship Management module on your Ship and go to the Stratagems section. There you can buy the Grenade Launcher from the Engineering Bay Stratagems.
