The iPad mini 4 and iPad mini 5 both have 7.9-inch displays measured diagonally. They are 8 inches tall, 5.3 inches wide, and 0.24 inches thick. The fifth-generation iPad mini from 2019 weighs 0.66 pounds, while the cellular version is a barely noticeable 0.02 pounds heavier, which is slightly lighter than the original iPad mini.
Apple introduced its iPad Pro line with the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, which debuted in 2015. The following March, Apple announced the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. That iPad cost $100 more than an iPad Air 2 when it debuted and packed a processor just as powerful as the larger iPad Pro. It has the same base size and weight as the iPad Air 2.
The third-generation iPad Pros from 2019 weigh nearly 12 percent less than the first generation. Later releases of the 10.5-inch and 11-inch iPad Pros expanded the line.
