In survival games, there is always that one material that is very hard to craft, but also very useful. You will miss out on a lot of great structures if you don't know how to build Power Core in Lightyear Frontier.

You'll need an Assembler to build a Power Core, and you'll need to harvest a bunch of Noxious Pods. The Noxious Pods need to be crafted into Noxious Spores, and then four Noxious Spores are assembled into a Power Core. This is an advanced build, so I'm assuming you already have access to Aluminum Bars for the Assembler.
The only way to get Noxious Pods is from Noxious Weeds, poisonous plants that fly onto your structures every morning. You can use the Vacuum Harvester to harvest Noxious Pods from the weeds. The catch is that you have to use the Vacuum Harvester while the Noxious Weeds are in the air; otherwise, you'll only get Plant Fiber. Noxious Weeds spawn in the first minute of the day, so make sure you have your Vacuum Harvester ready as soon as you wake up.
